What a difference a month can make. In January was one of the hottest stars due to this double album.
Then this weekend, a video surfaced that showed him shouting a racial slur. He told TMZ, that he’s embarrassed and apologized after they obtained the video. We will not post the video here, but we will talk about the fall out after.
Cumulus Media, iHeart and Entercom, have told their radio affiliates to remove his music from programming. Variety also sent a memo out telling its employees to remove Wallen’s music “from our playlists without exception.” The latest update from Morgan’s own label:
There has also been social media reaction from artists Mickey Guyton, Maren Morris and more:

It actually IS representative of our town because this isn’t his first “scuffle” and he just demolished a huge streaming record last month regardless. We all know it wasn’t his first time using that word. We keep them rich and protected at all costs with no recourse.
