Kenny Chesney said there’d be surprises during his first-ever Las Vegas residency — and he’s definitely keeping that promise! After welcoming Kelsea Ballerini and Grace Potter to the stage during the opening shows, he upped the excitement again on Wednesday by bringing out his friend, former tour mate, and newest duet partner, Megan Moroney.
Donning a cut-off Kenny Chesney shirt, jean shorts, and cowboy boots, Moroney took to the stage inside the Sphere Las Vegas to join the Chesney – Billboard’s No. 1 Country Artist of the 21st Century – for a four-song surprise.

The pair joined forces for the debut of their duet, “You Had To Be There,” as well as Chesney’s “All The Pretty Girls” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.” Additionally, Chesney gave Moroney the opportunity to perform her chart-climbing single, “Am I Okay?” for the packed-out Sphere.
“No one has more fun onstage than Megan Moroney,” Chesney shared following the show. “She doesn’t just radiate joy up there, she makes everybody want to experience the amount of fun she is clearly having. Even I want to – and don’t always – maintain that level of feeling good. She just brings it.”

A few of Chesney’s famous friends also attended Wednesday’s show, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith.
“For a Wednesday night crowd, it sure felt like Saturday night! Maybe it was Megan… Maybe we’re really getting the hang of Sphere… Or else it was just meant to be… No matter why, it was an incredible night in No Shoes Nation,” he said.
Chesney joins an elite lineup of legends and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers — including U2, (Grateful) Dead & Company, the Eagles, and Phish — to perform at the 17,600-seat Sphere, a cutting-edge venue known for its fully immersive, next-generation technology experience.

“I knew this was going to be incredible when I said, ‘Yes,’ when they asked me to do this, but I had no idea how awesome the experience could actually be,” he stated. “More than all the visuals, the dialed in sound, though, it’s getting to share this stage with a lot of people I love, including everyone in No Shoes Nation, who came to Vegas to be part of this unbelievable moment.”
