Jason Aldean has been soaking up some well-deserved time off the road, and he’s making the most of it by focusing on family. In recent months, the “Whiskey Drink” singer has traded tour buses for carpools, spending his days being a hands-on dad and playing chauffeur to his kids.
“Yeah, I mean right now kids are all playing sports. So Memphis is in baseball, Navy’s and softball. Kendall’s playing flag football at her school and so they’re just kind of all over the map,” he explained during an interview with Audacy’s Katie Neal. “So we’ve spent a lot of time going to practices and games and doing all that kind of stuff and all that’s about to wrap up here in the next week or two and get ready for summer.”

With three of his kids in various sports, Aldean has taken on the role of “chauffeur” and “trying to figure out how to get everybody where they need to be.”
He admitted there wasn’t “really a lot of time for me to do anything right now except for be a driver” but that’s all changing now because Aldean is back on the road for his Full Throttle Tour.
During the interview with Neal, which took place before the launch of the tour, the Georgia native admitted hew as “ready to go back to work.”

“I feel like we’ve been off the road for about six months and so about to get fired up at the end of this month and start launching the tour and get back out there. So excited for that,” he said. “Trying to finish up an album while we’re off, not touring. So kind of wrapping that up. Got some new music coming this year, so that’s about it.”
Aldean’s tour launched just before he’s expected to score his milestone 30th No.1 single at country radio with “Whiskey Drink.” Reflecting on the what it means to him, Aldean admitted, “it’s big.”
“I mean, I never thought, I never really played the numbers game a whole lot. It’s like I always wanted one, I just wanted a number one, and you get that one and then it’s like next thing you know, oh, you got five and then it’s 10, 15, 20, and next thing you know you’re staring 30 in the face and it’s like, I’m just glad people still care enough to go listen to it and stream it and come to the shows and do all the stuff. And 30 is a pretty big number,” he pointed out.

The official charts will be released this weekend and it’s looking like Aldean has the No.1 in the bag.
Fans can catch a very special edition of his Full Throttle Tour this weekend at Fenway Park in Boston where he’s set to perform with Brooks & Dunn, RaeLynn, and Dee Jay Silver.
Next week, Jason Aldean will return to Nashville for a performance at Nissan Stadium for CMA Fest.
