Gavin Adcock is breaking his silence following his May 21 arrest for reckless driving and he’s using the moment to announce the upcoming release of a fitting new song.
According to records from the Tennessee Highway Patrol released last week, Adcock was taken into custody at 11:15 PM on May 21 for reckless driving just outside of Nashville. Additionally, he was charged with violating Tennessee’s open container laws.
Records reveal that the 26-year-old was then released on a $1,000 bond at 4:34 AM on Thursday, May 22.

In a new social media post, Adcock is speaking out about the incident, revealing that he was pulled over for speeding in his newly restored dream car — a 1973 Dodge Challenger. The post featured a close-up of his mug shot on the first slide and an image of his prized vehicle on the next slide.
“I bought my dream car.. a 1973 Dodge Challenger,” he wrote. “Over the past few months I’ve been putting money into it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving going 103 in Wilson County, TN.”
The Watkinsville, Georgia native decided that he would turn this moment of trouble with the law into an opportunity to fuel his music and connect with his fans. He then announced plans to drop a new track titled “Morning Bail,” this Friday, May 30. While he admits it was written months ago, long before the incident, Adcock felt it would be fitting to share the song at this time, considering the circumstances.
“I wrote this song a few months back and planned to put it out on the album, but I figured there’s no better time than now,” he added.

To go along with the release, Adcock is also selling “Morning Bail” T-shirts which feature his mug shot on them. The limited merch is available now.
The new song will mark another look into his upcoming album and further delivers on his promise made back in march to drop music at a “pretty rapid” pace all year long. He kicked off the year with three new releases – “Loose Strings,” “Need To” and “Unlucky Strikes,” and most recently put out “On One” and his next radio single, “Never Call Again.”
Gavin Adcock is currently bringing his rowdy shows to fans all over on his headlining Need To Tour. The trek launched on May 2 in Brandon, MS and is scheduled to run through October. A lineup of rising stars are joining him as support, including Braxton Keith, Conner Smith, Bayker Blankenship, The Castellows and Lanie Gardner.
In addition to his own headlining run, Gavin Adcock is slated to hit the road with Morgan Wallen on select dates throughout the year.
His arrest came just days after the emerging act performed two sold-out nights at Nashville’s newest venue, The Pinnacle, on Friday (May 17) and Saturday (May 18).
Adcock also has a slew of festival appearances on the horizon, including Rock The Country 2025 (May 31), Railbird Music Festival (June 1) and Nashville’s CMA Fest (June 5).
