Ella Langley has dropped off the Hoofbeat music festival in Cadott, Wisconsin and has been replaced by Joe Nichols.
The festival revealed the “little switcheroo” with fans on Tuesday morning via a statement on its official social media accounts.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ella Langley can no longer make her scheduled performance,” the statement reads. “But you know us—we wouldn’t leave you hangin’. A huge thank you to Joe Nichols for stepping in so last minute to keep the good times rolling. Give him a big ol’ Sconnie welcome!”
Langley was originally slated to play on Thursday (June 26) alongside fellow Hoofbeat performers Riley Green, Gretchen Wilson, Michael Ray, John Morgan, Matt Stell, Graham Barham, and more.
Hoofbeat runs through Saturday and will also feature performances by Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, Chris Young, Gavin Adcock, Tyler Hubbard, Chris Lane, Corey Kent, and many more.
Fans expressed disappointment, but many were also excited to see Nichols step in.
“Of course I’d love to see Ella Langley… but I’m pretty excited for Joe Nichols,” one festival goer wrote.
Another shared, “Love Joe Nichols but was looking forward to seeing Ella Langley.”
Ella Langley has yet to release a statement about missing out on her Hoofbeat performance, leaving many fans speculating about why she canceled her appearance.
According to her website, she has a full weekend of shows planned, including an appearance on Friday, June 27 at Battery Park at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City, Iowa.
Then, she’s slated to play back to back nights opening for Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI.
Earlier this week, Langley gave fans a sneak peek at her tour rehearsals for the upcoming stadium shows.
“Stadium prep, let’s get it,” she captioned a photo from inside the rehearsal space.
This is a big week for Langley, who is not only set to perform in stadiums, but also release a brand new song. According to her latest social media posts, the ACM New FemaleA Artist of the Year will release “Never Met Anyone Like You” this Friday. She co-wrote the song with Hardy and Jordan Schmidt.
The song release comes just days after Langley shared several song teasers on social media, leaving fans begging her to release the full track.
