Kane Brown Reveals Bodybuilding Goals After 60-Hour Fast Sparks Major Lifestyle Change

Kane Brown is in his bodybuilding era.

The country superstar opened up about his new health and fitness routine during a recent interview with Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Show. During the conversation, he revealed his aspirations to become a bodybuilder.

Brown explained that his new fitness journey began after an intense, 60-hour fast that he completed earlier this year.

“So it basically kickstarted me on wanting to be healthy,” Brown told Bones of the fast.

He went on to share that he decided to make a life change after he found himself binge eating after his concerts.

“Being on the road eating after show food, I was getting two cheeseburgers from Five Guys and eating them at 2:00 AM and then going to sleep,” he revealed. “And I didn’t realize how big I was getting because my main goal was to get massive, just as big as I could. I ended up getting a 205, but that fast made me not want to put anything, no sugar, nothing, bad in my body.”

Now, Kane says he’s “technically bodybuilding.”

“It’s made me go from losing weight to now I want to be a bodybuilder,” he added.

The “2 Pair” singer said the 60-hour fast was surprisingly not “that bad.”

“We had seven other people doing it with us and it was our three days off in Quebec City. It was like six feet of snow, there wasn’t crap to do. I think that was the hardest part,” he recalled. “And then of course we have our riders, so they have Doritos and everything sitting in front of you, but we had each other pushing each other.”

The fast ultimately taught Brown that he was sometimes eating out of boredom.

“I would just eat, eat, eat. It’s just a privilege to us instead of a necessity,” he pointed out.

During the fast, he slept as much as possible to pass the time and was “so determined” to make it through.

Following the 60 hours, Brown enjoyed his first meal: chicken and broccoli. And promised, “About to be a mean, lean ripped machine.”

Brown has taken his followers and fans along for the journey on social media. Four weeks ago, he shared a progress photo revealing before and after photos of his fitness journey and encouraged others to join him.

From April 1st on the (left) until today (right) I’ve been super dedicated to fitness and health. I would love others to come on this journey with me,” he wrote.

Kane Brown recently released “2 Pair,” an high-energy track that’s perfect for summer. The song follows his latest album, The High Road,” and pairs Brown’s love for country, pop, and R&B.

“’2 Pair’ is an anthem for the summer. I wanted to give my fans a song they can blast at full volume and sing along to all summer long,” Brown shared. “It perfectly matches the energy of the best time of the year, and I hope they feel that energy the same way that I do.”

Brown’s upcoming tour schedule includes a slew of festival appearances, including a performance at Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio this week.
