It’s no secret that Luke Bryan is one of the hardest working men in country music. The superstar just wrapped his eighth season as a judge on American Idol, recently embarked on his 2025 Country Song Came On Tour, and even snuck in a trip back to Nashville to close out another CMA Fest.
Despite the whirlwind pace of his career, Bryan says the creative process never really takes a backseat. In fact, he’s already working on the follow-up to his latest album, Mind Of A Country Boy, even though the album just came out last fall.

“I’m on tour right now,” Bryan told The Tennesseean while backstage at CMA Fest. “I’m actively writing songs. People always ask me, ‘Are you working on a new album?’ I don’t think I ever stop really working on a new album. I’m always trying to write a little bit and find songs.”
With his latest single continuing to climb the charts, Bryan is laser-focused on what’s next.
“My current single, ‘Country Song Came On,’ is nearing the Top 10 right now, which I’m excited about. But the bottom line is, get in the studio at some point and record some new music, and just keep doing the deal,” he said. “Keep enjoying being a country music singer.”

Bryan seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself on Sunday – performing on the final night of CMA Fest alongside Dierks Bentley, Zach Top, Ashley McBryde, and more. Closing out the fan-favorite festival has become somewhat of a tradition for the Georgia native.
“For quite a few years now, I’ve kind of played the Sunday night closeout spot. So I’ve enjoyed that,” he told the publication. “It’s crazy because life’s moving so fast…it’s been a year ago, but it felt like six months ago.”
Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour launched with a weekend of three sold-out shows and is set to continue this week in Savannah, Georgia, Orlando, Florida and Ft. Myers, Florida. It follows the five-time Entertainer of the Year’s first-ever Farm Tour concerts in the state of California. The Farm Tour will return this fall.
